after the storm
And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.

springtime is near and that means it's time to buy your festival tickets and come out of winter hibernation. this is one of my favorite times of the year when my music mood shifts from the melancholy singer/songwriter music to everything under the sun that'll keep my fingers drumming and my hips swaying. this is my first playlist to get in the springtime spirit...
cymbals eat guitars - and the hazy sea
dirty projectors - cannibal resource
girls - lauren marie (i had to!)
local natives - sun hands
miike snow - burial
toro y moi - fax shadow
vampire weekend - ottoman
the xx - vcr (matthew dear remix)
bubblegum

This is at the Thunderheist concert at the Biltmore in November. This chick is rad. Second time I've had a chance to go see her and both times she fearlessly dives into the crowd to get groped by dozens. She also swears like a trucker and doesn't take shit from the boys. I like.
Below is her opening band, Winter Gloves, which was pretty good too. Gotta love the Biltmore with it's low ceilings and $3 pabst!
